Steven Charles Harrison
BIOGRAPHY![]()
I've been playing Old-Time Banjo for about a year and have been caught up in the rich history of traditional folk music. Much of what I'm playing now is a direct reflection of the supurb teachings of Patrick Costello and his dad on TangierSound.com

The Longest Month(2008)
The Longest Month is a collection of folk standards, instrumentals, and a few original tracks. Recorded using a desktop microphone, I tried to capture that weird blend of banjo and accordion that I love so much. Even with the light locomotion of frailing banjo, it was difficult to avoid the dark moods that are a reflection of the most dismal and depressing month in Cleveland. Even the upbeat children's-like tunes have vitriol sprinkled in. When my creativity ran dry, I flipped on the mic and rounded off the album with folk standards with as much honesty as I could muster. At the very least, I've set the standard for my work next year.
Turnpike(2010)
This album, this demo, is the result of Steve's contribution to the 2010 RMPChallenge. It resulted in a handful of some of his favorite songs. A collection of love songs for those long Cleveland Winters.
